Contemporary Japanese Art with Takashi Murakami

Contemporary Japanese artist, Takashi Murakami coined the term superflat which describes both the characteristics of the Japanese artistic tradition and the very modern nature of post-war Japanese society – that’s what I love about him. It’s not about confusing or blurring the line between this kind of art and another, it’s about creating something about who you are and more often than not we are products of more than one world.
